New York Jets Give Jacoby Brissett A Win in Second Start

In his second start for the New York Jets, Jacoby Brissett led the team to a 31-30 victory over the Cleveland Browns. Brissett threw for 229 yards and two touchdowns, and he also ran for a touchdown. The Jets extended their lead to 21-13 in the third quarter on a 1-yard touchdown run by Brissett. The Browns came right back with a touchdown of their own, but the Jets blocked the extra point, giving them a 21-19 lead. The Jets added to their lead in the fourth quarter on a 37-yard field goal by Greg Zuerlein, making the score 24-19. The Browns tied the game at 24-24 with just over five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter on a 1-yard touchdown run by Nick Chubb. The Jets responded with a 37-yard field goal by Zuerlein, giving them a 27-24 lead. The Browns tied the game again at 27-27 with just over two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter on a 33-yard field goal by Cade York. The Jets got the ball back with just over two minutes remaining and drove down the field to set up a 56-yard field goal attempt by Zuerlein. Zuerlein's kick was good, giving the Jets a 30-27 lead with just over a minute remaining. The Browns had one final chance to tie the game, but they turned the ball over on downs with just over 30 seconds remaining. The Jets were able to run out the clock and secure the victory. With the win, the Jets improved to 2-2 on the season. The Browns fell to 2-2.
