LSU Wins Seventh National Title in College World Series

Tigers Rout Florida 18-4 in Decisive Game

LSU has claimed its seventh title in the Men's College World Series after a dominant 18-4 victory over Florida in the decisive game of the finals.

The Tigers, who had lost the first game of the series, came back strong to win the next two games and secure the championship. LSU's victory marks the school's first national title since 2009.

In the championship game, LSU jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning and never looked back. The Tigers added seven more runs in the fourth inning to take an 11-0 lead. Florida managed to score four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, but LSU responded with five more runs in the top of the fifth inning to put the game out of reach.

LSU pitcher Paul Skenes was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Series after allowing just three runs in 11 innings of work. Skenes struck out 13 batters and walked just two batters in the series.

The victory is a major triumph for LSU, which has been one of the most dominant teams in college baseball in recent years. The Tigers have now won seven national titles, which is tied for the third-most in NCAA history.
